The pop band from Romania consists of two artists, Mario Mogka and Physical Education Andrew Ropkea or Randy, hence the name of the band Morandi.

Besides their success in Romania in the duet single Beijo (English version of Oh La La) rose to high positions throughout Europe in the charts.

In the summer of 2005 except for the MTV Europe chart and the World Chart Express, The Morandi were nominated as Best Romanian band at MTV Europe Music Awards 2005, but lost the prize by Voltaj.

In Romanian Awards MTV 2006, the band won the award for best song Beijo (English version of Oh La La) and best video for Falling Asleep.
